A Message from the Principal
Tiger CUB Pride. Tiger CUB Nation
Dear Edgewood Elementary K-5 Students and Families,
February is always a meaningful and energizing month in our school community. We’re excited to celebrate Black History Month with a variety of events and learning experiences that honor the achievements, voices, and contributions of Black leaders throughout history. Valentine’s Day also gives us a chance to highlight kindness and connection, something our students bring to life in so many ways.
This month also includes our winter NWEA testing window. These assessments help us understand each student’s growth and guide our instruction, and we appreciate your support in encouraging students to do their best.
As we look ahead to Midwinter Break, I hope everyone enjoys some well‑deserved rest and time with family. Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our school community.
With Kindness and Care,
Ms. Shameika Johnson
Principal, Edgewood Elementary School
